Peanut Free

Peanut and Tree Nut Policy
All classrooms at Cedar Hill School will be designated as nut free areas.

No foods containing nut products will be allowed in any classroom areas. This policy must be enforced and recognized by all professional staff members and parents. In the school cafeteria two tables will be designated as nut areas. Children with nut products in their lunches must sit at these tables. Two or three additional tables will be designated as a buffer zone. The buffer zone will separate the nut zones from the nut free zones. School lunch aides will cleanse the nut tables first and immediately change gloves and cloths before cleaning the buffer zones and nut free zone tables. Students sitting at these different areas must remain in place until the end of the lunch period. This will prohibit contamination of both buffer zone and nut free zone tables.

In order to decrease the risk of classroom contamination, all groups using Cedar Hill School after school hours are prohibited from serving and food whatsoever in the school. Further questions regarding this situation are to be addressed to Joseph Peltier, Principal. Much of the aforementioned procedure is a direct result of recent legislation buy our state legislature.
